What you receive

Handmade sticks, in packs of 5 or 10. Allow about 1 hour of burning time per stick.

Composition

Palo santo, concentrated ginger oil, fruit biomass, natural charcoal, natural binder, salt. The palo santo comes from sustainable harvests in South America. No chemical additives.

The scent

Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) gives a soft, resinous wood, with an almost sweet, lemony edge that surprises you the first time: it is not a dry wood like cedar. Ginger comes in over the top with a sharp liveliness that keeps the whole blend from becoming heavy. This pairing is what makes the stick interesting, because the two materials pull in opposite directions.

The 5 Éléments series

Five sticks, five scent profiles: Terre (earth), woody and spicy; Eau (water), fresh and floral; Air, light; Feu (fire), warm; Éther (ether), floral. If you are new to the series, this one and Feu are the most pronounced.

Precautions for use

Burn on a suitable incense holder, in a ventilated room, and never leave a stick unattended. All combustion produces fine particles: air the room after use. Keep out of reach of children and pets. This is not a therapeutic product and we attribute no health effect to it.

Also worth exploring: raw palo santo wood, if you want the material on its own, and our full range of incense and resins.
