Arranged rums? No. Infused spirits.
Step into the world of LEGBA infused spirits, made in the Jura: spirit drinks rum - fruit and plants, in which each ingredient is handled differently. Far from arranged rums macerated with sugar, our bottles are the result of an infusion technique we invented and perfected ourselves, which we do not disclose: it is precisely what sets our bottles apart from the rest of the shelf.
In an arranged rum, sugar rounds off, softens and masks. It forgives a lot, including mediocre raw ingredients. Our method is an entirely different process: the fruit has to stand on its own. Depending on the recipe, the result ranges from very dry to frankly fruity, but the alcohol content always remains high.
Not sure where to start? Take the quiz, a few questions about your tastes, and it shows you the bottles in the range that suit you.
These bottles are for enthusiasts in search of distinctive flavours, to be drunk neat, chilled or over an ice cube. The range is divided into two families: the 40% vol, smoother, and the 49% vol, longer on the palate. The newest arrivals at 49% vol: Envoûtement, hazelnut with notes of pear, and Mokavéli, which tastes of cappuccino.
The range by flavour
Eleven infused spirits, at 40% vol or 49% vol, in 500 ml bottles or 50 ml vials. To help you find your way, here is the range sorted by flavour family.
- Fruit: Le Mangomancien (mango, 40%), Maléfice (strawberry and raspberry, 40%), Grillon Lubrique (morello cherry, pineapple and rosehip, 40%), Epidemic (strawberry, coconut and pineapple, 49%), Démon Facétieux (quince, kiwi, melon and cherry, 49%) and Rictus Frénétique (exotic fruit and spices, 49%).
- Plants and flowers: Valse Vaudou (lemon and hibiscus, 49%) and Fly to ze graal (roasted buckwheat and blueberry, 49%), woody and deep without ever having seen a cask.
- Gourmand: L'Antidote du Joker (cocoa and lemon, 49%), the most unusual of the range, Mokavéli (coffee and rooibos, 49%), dry, tasting of cappuccino, and Envoûtement (hazelnut, walnut and ginger, 49%), very round, with notes of pear and hazelnut.
The strength does not tell the whole story: some 40% vol are drier than some 49% vol. All our infused spirits are dry, never syrupy.

Frequently asked questions

Infused rum or arranged rum: what is the difference?
Arranged rum macerates for a long time with sugar: round at first, it stays short on the palate and sometimes becomes cloying. Our infused rums take the opposite approach. The rum stays in the foreground, the fruit and plants join it in balance, and the finish lasts. That is why some bottles, such as L'Antidote du Joker, appeal just as much to whisky lovers. For the details, read our article on the difference. And if you want to try arranged rum at home, here is the homemade arranged rum recipe, and where it falls short. -
Why the name "spirit drink"?
Because it is the legal name laid down by European Regulation 2019/787 for a spirit drink that does not fall into a defined category. Rum remains the base of our recipes, and the compound term appears on every product page. -
What exactly is in your bottles?
The composition is listed on every product page, ingredient by ingredient: the rum base, then the fruit and plants of the recipe. -
Where can I buy LEGBA infused rums?
On this website, with delivery to a pickup point or to your home in France, at the greenhouse in Francheville by appointment, and at the Jurartisans shop in Bletterans, in the Jura. -
Where should I store my bottle?
In a cool place, away from direct sunlight. A cellar or a closed cupboard is ideal. -
How should I store it once opened?
Tightly closed after each serving, and upright, so the liquid does not stay in prolonged contact with the cork. -
When should I drink it?
As a chilled aperitif, or as a digestif to round off a meal. The 40% vol suit an aperitif better, the 49% vol the end of a meal. -
Which one should I choose?
Each recipe offers a different experience. If you can't decide, the discovery pack of 4 vials lets you compare before deciding. Think you already know your tastes? Cyril has placed his 3 bets to get you out of your habits.
